Grading, paint and more....

We stopped by the house yesterday as our PM had said that a lot of things will be happening simultaneously and we should check it out in all the hustle and bustle. But no one was there...probably because it was around lunch time, so we went over to the model to see if one of the SRs will let us in....but surprise!! nobody was there either, this never happened before. So we were just strolling around the house checking out the graded yard, when a couple of workmen came and opened the door. So we did check it out at last. So no electrical, interactive or plumbing trimming out but alot of things were done.... final grading on the yard, side walk poured, final coat of paint, trim on the walls, clean-up for floors etc...
Check it out in pics....

Drive way
The crooked lead walk
Our PM had said that this was "per design" but I don't like a crooked lead way...Does this bother anybody else or is it just us???

Dinning with trim and rail complete with paint!
How do you like the color?

Study double doors
Study with final coat of paint
Master Bed
Tiled in shower

Tile surround for the tub

Living room...still needs a lot of work!

We stopped by the model again last night after work and met with our SR and PM. They apologized for the our morning trip, turns out they were all in a meeting. Our PM said that they were a little behind on electrical and plumbing trim outs but interactive was done. We went back of the house again and few people came in with lights and fixtures...they were getting ready to start working (around 5.30 in the evening!). My husband wanted to stay back and watch them work, but I was so tired and we had planned furniture shopping, so we left.

Yesterday was our first day shopping for furniture.... I just wanted to get a feel for "our" style. We went to a couple of stores, looks like we are gonna actually agree few things... :-) that's a good start! ;-)

  2. I've noticed so many studies with the transom window above the french doors... is this a standard option, or did you have to request this? I really like it, and unfortunately it doesn't look like we're getting that :(

    1. Brandon, we did not request it. That's a standard in our community.
I understand, I requested a larger front door with some glass but they are not doing it...we are getting a narrow solid door like what apartments have!

  3. I think EVERYTHING looks really nice!!

I like the curved sidewalk! Maybe, you will like it better when the grass/shrubs are in.

  5. Love the curved sidewalk, I think it adds character since it doesn't look all boxy/squared-off.

I also love your shower/bath tile and how it encompasses the side wall up to the dropped ceiling.

Everything in your home looks lovely!

    1. I liked the curved sidewalk too, but the middle portion of it is slanting towards the house a little bit (like it's at an angle). I'm not to think too much of it. Probably I'll like it better with grass and plants.

      Thanks J and M

  6. I like the paint color, I wish we had been offered a choice of paints. I think the walkway will look great once the grass goes in, you can add a plant border and it will look more custom than a straight one. Your backyard is so nice and flat.

    1. We had like 5 colors to pick from, again it was a new line of paint so we did not see it before. We did not want the too yellowish shade so we went with the pavilion beige. Its a little on the browner side!

  7. OMG S&P! I liked your house from the start but gurl it is turning into something else!!! Wow, the outer look is so so beautiful! The trim work looks really great! Did you get the highest level trim package? Look at how much space you have at the back! I'm sitting here feeling really excited like it were my house. I am really thrilled for you guys, congratulations again for making such beautiful choices!

    1. LOL thanks!! We are very excited too....specially now that it's getting so close! The trim we are getting is all included. We did not opt for anything extra, I was surprised too!
I like our backyard, but I'm somehow not very excited about it. It's my husband's wishlist item and He promised that we'll take care of it! So we'll have to wait n watch on that one! ;-)

    2. Yes, it was my wish to get a nice flat backyard too. I bet when it becomes all green behind there you'll join the "exitement" band wagon.

Wow! so you didn't even upgrade on the trim and you got all that? Hope I get something similar, my SR and PM keep telling me I'll be happy with it, maybe this is what they were talking about.
