It rained on and off over the weekend, so I assumed the progress would be slow. And I did not get a chance to visit our site in last couple of days. So I drove by the site today around lunch time to see that we have a second floor!!! Wooo hoooooo!!!
Here are some pictures I took today.....

We have a couple more weeks before we'll be able to lock in the rates......so, we are still shopping around for lenders and better rates etc, let's see how that goes.
We're still side by side in the process....I think you have a bit more of a second floor. :) Looking really good!!!
ReplyDelete:-) We sure are!!! And I was thinking that you have a little more of a second floor! LOL ;-)
DeleteI am lagging behind with both of yall are people go so slow its like watching paint dry! Your house will be finished in no time. Very nice!
ReplyDelete:-) But its very good to know that your builder cares about your house so much, and they are so detail oriented! That's always good thing! And also your house is HUGE!!! :-)
DeleteLooking good so far ! The framing will be done before you know it! I know what you mean about the rain ! It has been raining off and on in DC for the past few days, it's really getting annoying !
ReplyDeleteTell me about it! Its raining right now!! :-|
DeleteLooks good! And good luck with rates--but don't look everyday until you actually can lock. It will drive you absolutely nuts. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right. It is driving us nuts! We were did not even think about it until we read in the news that the rates were picking up. Anyways, we have to just find an alternate at least, so looking around. But I think there's nothing we can do for about 3 weeks more so maybe we should give it up for a little bit
DeleteWe are at exactly the same point!! Looks great!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Isn't it exciting :-)
DeleteGreat progress.. We seem to have had all the time in the world until we started building, and now we hardly go over to see progress. It has been raining here too. Did you ask about the impact of rain on the house during framing, or when there is no roof? Our basement is currently a swimming pool (that is very well insulated from outside, ha) but we are still waiting on lumber.
ReplyDeleteTell me about it! I haven't had a chance to visit in last two days...I'm assuming the progress would be slow obviously and I don't want to go there and be depressed about it. And we too are very concerned about the rain, we have our weekly call tomorrow so we are gonna ask about it in that call. Our PM did mention this issue in our pre-con meeting, he was like please do not freak out about rain because we will dry everything out...Still I want to make sure they are doing that!
DeleteI'll let u know what he'll say about that...
